Add an Adventure
to Your Stay
Guided trips, fully-outfitted backcountry expeditions and gear rentals on Algonquin's historic canoe routes — paired with any room or cottage. We handle the guides, gear and permits. You just paddle.
Make your stay an adventure. Add a guided day on the water, an outfitted trip into the interior, or just the canoes and gear to paddle your own route.
Paddle out and back in a single day, or head deep into Algonquin's backcountry overnight. Pick up your gear the evening before, sleep lakeside, and launch at first light.
Whatever you choose, it's arranged for you with our trusted local partners — and it's as easy as adding it when you reserve your room.
Day Adventures
Head out in the morning or afternoon and return to the inn for the evening. Every day tour includes a guide, a snack or meal on the water, and time to swim.
Guided Canoe Tour
The classic. Paddle historic Canoe Lake, cross an easy portage, hike to a lookout, cliff-jump and swim — finished with a gourmet lakeside lunch.
Tailored Guided Day Trip
A relaxed introduction to paddling and portaging on Algonquin's historic routes, with a guide who reads the day's wind and water. Spot moose and herons, swim, and picnic on shore.
Photography Tour
A silent electric-motor canoe built for wildlife and landscape photography, gliding in Tom Thomson's footsteps. Relaxed, hands-free, and made for the golden hour.
Fishing Charter
A sunrise electric-canoe charter for trout or bass, with rods, a fish-finder and a fresh breakfast on the water. Catch-and-release.
Bicycle Tour
Twenty kilometres along the scenic rail trail on quality mountain bikes — helmets, a trailside picnic and a swim stop included.
Guided Hike & Birding
An easy 5–8 km guided walk with HD binoculars, expert birding and bakery breakfast treats. The one adventure that runs in every season.
Good to know. All day-tour prices are plus 13% HST. Minimum ages: canoe & hike 7+, fishing 8+, bicycle 12+, photography all ages. The 6-hour canoe tour has a 2-guest minimum; the others run as small private tours. Tours take place inside Algonquin Park, so guests buy their own park vehicle day permit (plus a fishing licence for the charter). The guided hike runs year-round; the rest are spring through fall.
Multi-Day Wilderness
For guests who want the full backcountry experience — sleeping under the stars deep in Algonquin's interior. Bookend it with a room at the inn before and after.
Trade screens for starlight
Days of unhurried paddling between portages; nights on a private lakeside site with nothing but loon-call and firelight. Bring a guide to carry every load, or just take the route, the gear and the permits — sorted — and set your own pace.
